Honolulu is situated on the island of Oahu, which is one of the main islands in the Hawaiian archipelago. Oahu is known for its diverse landscapes, including beautiful beaches, lush mountains, and urban areas.  We had the fortune to discover Oahu and its beauty this summer and it was a trip to remember.

Hawaii holds a very special place in our heart.  We were blessed to return to discover more of Hawaii after 14 years.  Hawaii never disappoints us no matter how many times we come back to visit it.  Hawaii offers a wealth of unforgettable excursions and discoveries, providing a diverse range of experiences across its islands. Here are some noteworthy excursions to consider in Hawaii:

Diamond Head

Diamond Head is a volcanic crater and iconic landmark located on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Renowned for its historical significance and panoramic views, visitors often hike to the summit to enjoy breathtaking vistas of Waikiki and the Pacific Ocean. The hour and half hike was very well worth it!

Pali Lookout: Where the Mountains Meet the Wind

The Pali Lookout, officially known as the Nu'uanu Pali State Wayside, is a scenic overlook located on the windward (eastern) side of the island of Oahu, Hawaii. The Pali Lookout is situated in the Nu'uanu Pali State Park, approximately 5 miles (8 kilometers) northeast of downtown Honolulu.

The main attraction of the Pali Lookout is its breathtaking panoramic views of the Oahu's windward coast. Visitors can see the lush Ko'olau mountain range, the Windward Coastline, and the Pacific Ocean.  The Pali Lookout is known for its strong and gusty winds, which are channeled through the Nu'uanu Valley.  We were bound to fly away if it wasn’t for the walls to be held onto!

Kualoa Ranch: 
Hollywood Bus Ride
Embarking on the Hollywood Bus Ride at Kualoa Ranch in Oahu, Hawaii was nothing short of a cinematic adventure. The lush landscapes surrounding the ranch provided a breathtaking backdrop, instantly transporting me into the scenes of blockbuster movies. As the bus winded through the valley, I marveled at iconic filming locations, from the towering cliffs featured in Jurassic Park to the dense jungles of Kong: Skull Island. The knowledgeable guides seamlessly blended history, culture, and Hollywood magic, creating an immersive experience that left me in awe of both nature's beauty and the allure of the silver screen. Kualoa Ranch's Hollywood Bus Ride is a must for film enthusiasts and nature lovers alike, offering a unique blend of entertainment and stunning Hawaiian scenery.

Waimea Valley and Falls

Waimea Valley, located on the North Shore of Oahu in Hawaii, is a culturally and historically significant area known for its lush botanical gardens, archaeological sites, and beautiful Waimea Falls. It is also the home to extensive botanical gardens featuring a diverse collection of tropical plants and flowers. The gardens showcase the rich biodiversity of Hawaii and include species from around the world. The walk through it was mesmerizing and forever unforgettable!

Exploring the enchanting island of Oahu, a jewel in the Hawaiian archipelago, became a cherished journey this summer.
